Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Digit Grove (“we,” “our,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the DG Order Printer app (“App”). This document is written for merchants (“Merchants”).
The App may access certain protected customer data from your store (such as customer/order details) only to generate merchant-requested documents (Invoices & Packing Slips) for printing or downloading. We do not use this data for marketing, profiling, or advertising.
Quick Summary
- We access order details to render Invoices and Packing Slips for the order(s) you select.
- Protected customer data (name, address, email, phone number) is used only to generate the document.
- We do not store customer personal data separately in our systems.
- We store only what is needed to run the App: merchant session/authentication details and app settings.
- Uninstalling the App removes store-related data we hold (sessions and settings), subject to retention rules below.
- We support required GDPR/CCPA webhooks and verify requests (for example via HMAC where applicable).
Protected Customer Data Access
“Protected customer data” includes data about customers or visitors to stores that’s available through Customers, Orders, Online Store and other Admin API resources, Customer Account API resources, or checkout UI extensions.
For DG Order Printer, we access the following protected customer data fields when you choose an order (or multiple orders) to print/download documents:
- Customer name
- Shipping and billing address
- Email address
- Phone number
Purpose: Downloading and printing customer order Invoices and Packaging Slips.
We do not store customer personal data anywhere separately. Data is used only to render the document for the selected order(s) and is not used for marketing or profiling.
Data We Collect
To operate the App reliably, we collect and store:
- Shop & session details to authenticate your store and securely make API calls you have permitted.
- App configuration/settings you save in the App (for example invoice/packing slip layout options).
- Operational logs (limited) for security, debugging, and reliability.
We do not store payment card details. We do not store end-customer personal data separately in our systems. Customer/order data is retrieved from your store only when needed to generate documents you request.
How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate your store and perform permitted API actions.
- To fetch order details needed to generate invoices and packing slips you request.
- To save and apply your document settings (such as formatting and display preferences).
- To provide support, troubleshoot issues, and meet legal and platform requirements.
Uninstall & Data Deletion
If you uninstall the App, we remove store-related data we hold (such as sessions and app settings) and stop processing for your store. We do not store end-customer data separately, so there is typically no customer personal data to delete from our systems beyond store-level operational records.
Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App and meet legal obligations. When you uninstall, we begin deletion promptly and aim to complete it within 30 days unless law requires a longer period (for example, basic operational logs kept for security/audit).
Security
- Incoming webhooks and API calls are verified using signatures (for example, HMAC) where applicable.
- Access credentials are stored securely with restricted access.
- Transport security (HTTPS) is used for data in transit.
- We apply least-privilege principles and regularly review granted scopes.
Legal Bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the App you installed.
- Legitimate interests — to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability (balanced against your rights).
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and platform rules.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or request portability of your personal data (as a Merchant admin). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to verify your identity and store ownership.
Requests about your end-customer data should generally be handled within your store’s tools. DG Order Printer does not store customer personal data separately, and we use customer/order data only to generate documents you request.
GDPR/CCPA Webhooks & Compliance
We support mandatory privacy webhooks (for example, shop or customer data requests/erasure where applicable). When we receive a valid request, we act according to this Policy and applicable law. Because we do not store end-customer data separately, customer-specific requests are typically acknowledgements with no additional customer data to delete from our systems.
International Transfers
Depending on your location and our hosting regions, your information may be processed outside your country. We take steps consistent with applicable law to protect your information during such transfers.
Children
The App is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App means you accept the updated Policy.
